Welcome to Johnson County United! This will be the place to learn about Johnson County, Kansas and everything we have planned to help you have a fun, healthy, and safe experience while in our county during FIFA World Cup 26™.

Johnson County is excited to join the Kansas City metro on the world stage for this massive event that will bring us all together, no matter which team colors we wear. The video above gives a quick glance at what unites Johnson County and its cities into a warm, fun, flavorful, soccer-enthusiastic and welcoming community! (By the way, our friends call us JoCo.)

Efficient, convenient public transportation

Through collaboration, innovation and strategic thinking, regional partners have made huge progress on plans for public transportation and recently rolled out some major announcements!

JoCoUnited World Cup team KC2026 unveiled ConnectKC26,  the regional transportation plan  designed to make travel to key experiences (including FIFA Fan Festival™ and matches) safe, direct and comfortable. Johnson County Board of County Commissioners Chairman Mike Kelly was honored to be included in the Dec. 2 press conference, attended by Board members and county leadership, and released this statement of support.

As part of ConnectKC26, JoCo will host four Region Direct sites and one Stadium Direct match day site that connect residents and visitors to FIFA Fan Festival™, Kansas City Stadium (Arrowhead) and 15 regional sites across the Kansas City metro.

JoCoUnited World Cup transportation busJoCo will support ConnectKC26’s efforts to efficiently and comfortably get people to and from Kansas City International Airport with our own shuttle service called “Johnson County United Airport Drop and Ride.” Read all about it here, but here are five things to know:

  1. Stops at Kansas City International Airport, Lenexa City Center and Overland Park Convention Center.
  2. Free service with no reservation needed.
  3. Runs 7 days a week, 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., with shuttles every 25 minutes.
  4. Air conditioning, USB chargers, reclining seats, and Wi-Fi.
  5. Drop and Ride means drop-off and pick-up only.
